The partnership

Athena don’t have an internal Talent Function, so they partner with The Lab17 for hiring purposes. The Lab17 manage the entire hiring process, prioritising roles, and building teams for Athena.

What we delivered

When we first kicked off with Athena we were engaged to fill the gaps in their cross-functional product teams across engineering and product development roles. As we progressed, we gained momentum and started expanding our support to include building their Salesforce Engineering team.

Our partnership continued to broaden when we collaborated with the CMO to recruit head of roles based in Sydney for the marketing team. Originally a 4-month partnership, it was extended to over 12 months. We paused during the RBA’s interest rate hike, but were later re-engaged to recruit senior hires, such as a Head of Broker Distribution, CMO, 2 BDM’s, and a Senior Product Manager.
