Trace

Trace is a digital platform that enables climate-conscious individuals and businesses to measure, reduce, and offset their carbon footprint while tracking their impact. They calculate the carbon footprint of The Lab17 by evaluating our business and staff operations’ emissions. Trace offsets our carbon footprint by supporting certified and impactful climate projects that align with the UN Sustainable Development goals. This helps us make a positive impact not only on the environment but also on society and the economy.

Rainforest Rescue

Silver member

Rainforest Rescue is a not-for-profit organisation that has been protecting and restoring Australian and international rainforests since March 1999. They provide opportunities for individuals and businesses, such as The Lab17, to help protect rainforests forever. Their projects re-establish rainforests through planting, maintenance, and restoration programs, as well as purchasing and protecting high conservation value rainforest and preserving its biodiversity. Our recent donation to Rainforest Rescue is being used to strategically buy back at-risk rainforest properties and restoring degraded rainforest in the Daintree.

Solar Buddy

800 million people worldwide still don’t have access to modern electricity, severely limiting their potential. This means that when the sun goes down, they’re reliant on dangerous and unhealthy energy like kerosene, diesel, wood, candles or battery powered torches, which is expensive and unhealthy for people and the planet, and severely impacts opportunities to thrive. SolarBuddy is dedicated to educating and empowering the next generation to change the lives of children living in energy poverty via its innovative education programs. Its programs offer a tangible solution to a real world problem that impacts millions of people.

Take 3 for the sea

Take 3 is a global movement inspiring people to connect with the planet and take action against plastic pollution. By taking three pieces of rubbish with you when leaving the beach or waterway, you can make a difference. The ocean provides us with oxygen and sustains our climate, making its health critical to our own survival. Plastic pollution represents a disconnection from this vital ecosystem, as poorly managed plastic can leak into the sea from anywhere. By joining the #Take3ForTheSea movement as an official supporter, we are taking simple actions to address complex problems and help stop plastic pollution from harming wildlife and our planet.
